Well, Optional Quest has finally launched, but it wasn’t easy. Web development has improved a lot but it still sucks. It’s still the Tito Jackson of Computer Science. Even now, if you take a look at the page with IE and then with Firefox you’ll see all sorts of small differences. Whatever, those problems are to be solved another day. The title makes it seem like web development suckage is what this entry will be about but really, there’s nothing interesting about it. Just know that it sucks.

Shengwei ‘Edy’ Yan’s got plenty of delicious web comic content… on paper. His productivity seems to drop significantly whenever he’s within 5 feet of a computer. His productivity drops from 10 to 1.1, on a scale from 1 to 100 whenever he enters this “red” zone. So far, I’ve been luring him with promises of candy and instant ramen to get him to draw his comic pages but now he actually needs to transform his works into digital format.

Games, flash games. The ideas are all paper but I’ve been bogged down with site construction and can’t get around to making them. So will weekly game updates happen? We’ll see, but don’t blame me when you’re spending hours playing Paper Scissors Rocks the flash game.

Oh and videos. Also, ideas are there, but we still have to film and edit. All that with the constraint of not allowing them to be cheesy. The fate of the video section will depend on reactions when the first one is uploaded.
